Melissa is a New Jersey licensed speech-language pathologist who also holds a speech-language specialist certification for treating in New Jersey public schools. She received her Master of Science degree in communication disorders from William Paterson University in 2019. Melissa has evaluated clients ages 2-21 in the public school setting and while visiting patients in their home. Her professional experience includes treating individuals with articulation/phonology disorders, expressive and receptive language delay or impairments, stuttering, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), executive functioning deficits, auditory processing disorders, social communication disorders, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, and Down Syndrome. Melissa has a great passion for helping children learn, which is why she decided to work in the schools! Melissa currently works for Hawthorne Public Schools at the elementary and middle school. She recently began her journey of treating children with challenging behaviors. When Melissa is not treating clients, she is out exploring nature, visiting new cities and museums, pet sitting, going to the beach, and watching old TV shows and movies!
