Speech Therapist

Erica is a certified Speech-Language Pathologist through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed in New Jersey. She also holds a Speech-Language Specialist (SLS) Certification through the NJ Department of Education. Erica earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Louisiana State University and her Master of Science in Education in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The College of Saint Rose.

With experience spanning clients aged 1 to 86 years, Erica has worked with individuals presenting with social communication disorders, fluency disorders, receptive-expressive language disorders, auditory processing disorders, cognitive-communication disorders, speech sound disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and aphasia. She has professional experience working in private practice, sensory gyms, and school settings. Currently, Erica works in a private clinic setting where she provides individualized support to clients across the lifespan, from toddlers to adults and supports those with a wide range of communication and cognitive challenges.

Erica is certified in Natural Language Acquisition through Meaningful Speech and DIR Floortime Therapy. As a speech-language pathologist she is passionate about fostering a speech environment where children feel safe, supported, and empowered to grow. She believes that when children feel secure and valued, they are more confident in expressing themselves and developing their communication skills. Her approach is child-centered, focusing on functional, meaningful goals and incorporating play-based activities to create engaging and enjoyable therapy sessions. 

Outside of work, Erica enjoys spending quality time with friends, discovering new restaurants, and exploring new places.
