Leila graduated with a Master of Cognitive Neuroscience of Language from the Lebanese University in Lebanon, where she has been a pediatric speech and language pathologist for 17 years. She is currently completing her clinical fellowship year to obtain her New Jersey state license. Additionally, she holds a European Montessori teaching diploma 0-6 years old and is Level One certified in both PECS and Orton-Gillingham approach. She is also certified to administer the ADOS and to provide parent training and guidance through the Hanen autism program “More than words”. Leila is trilingual and can offers services in Arabic, French, and English.
Leila has experience treating individuals (0-18 years) with social communication disorders, receptive-expressive language disorders, swallowing disorders, sensory feeding selectivity, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
Her professional background includes roles in hospital in and outpatient facilities, school settings, and private practice. Additionally, she served as a lecturer in the Speech and Language Therapy department in her home country, where she provided professional course lectures and mentored students throughout their training.
Believing that “small wins each day add up to big results,” Leila is committed to helping her clients and their families achieve these small/ big successes.
In her spare time, you can find her making crochet dolls, baking new recipes, spending time with her cats and enjoying the outdoors with her family.
