Michelle Alper
M.S., OTR/L

Occupational Therapist

Michelle is a licensed occupational therapist with over 10 years of experience working
with children and families. She earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy
from Stony Brook University and has worked in a variety of pediatric settings, including
outpatient pediatrics, early intervention, and school-based therapy.

Michelle’s passion for occupational therapy began after spending a summer
volunteering at a camp for children and adults with special needs. That experience
inspired her to pursue a career where she could help individuals develop greater
independence and reach their full potential. She especially loves watching children work
hard to learn new skills and seeing the excitement and pride on their faces when they
accomplish something they’ve been working toward. Helping children build confidence,
gain independence, and discover what they are capable of is one of the most rewarding
parts of her work.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys playing tennis, traveling, and, most of all, spending
time with her 20 nieces and nephews.
