Shelby received her Masters of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from a 5-Year Program at Springfield College with a minor in Psychology and Rehabilitation Studies. She is a licensed Occupational Therapist in the states of New Jersey and New York. She also holds her New Jersey Department of Education certification as an Occupational Therapist.

Shelby has a strong foundation through her fieldwork rotation with the Child Center for Human Development in Massachusetts, in which she evaluated and implemented various sensory integration treatment plans for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within the foster system. Her well-rounded experience also includes her fieldwork at Newton Medical Center in outpatient hand therapy clinic and in the acute inpatient setting. As well as, three years working as an occupational therapist in the skilled nursing setting alongside physical therapist and speech language pathologists. Shelby’s academic coursework and clinician experiences have equipped her with a solid background for understanding occupational therapy and creating the best patient focused treatment outcomes.

In her free time, Shelby loves spending time outdoors, traveling, and being with friends and family. Shelby is excited to begin her career with The Way You Say LLC!
