Speech Therapist
Vivianna is certified as a Speech-Language Pathologist by the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed in New Jersey and New York. Additionally, she holds a Speech and Language Specialist (SLS) certificate from the New Jersey Department of Education and a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certificate in the state of New York. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Syracuse University and a Master of Science in Education degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The College of Saint Rose. Vivianna has experience treating individuals (ages 1-86 yrs) with social communication disorders, fluency disorders, receptive-expressive language disorders, cognitive-communication disorders, swallowing disorders, sensory feeding selectivity, voice disorders, speech sound disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and aphasia.
Additionally, she provides treatment utilizing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and oral placement techniques. Vivianna is Level One certified in Oral Placement Therapy and is receiving education to become a trained clinician in Natural Language Acquisition (Gestalt Language Processing). She completed her Clinical Fellowship (CF) at an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Early Intervention Center with a social group component in the Bronx, NY. Vivianna holds a passion for working with young children diagnosed with ASD and/or developmental delays. She believes in creating a functional and individualized treatment environment that is holistic with the inclusion of evidence-based practice. Vivianna enjoys doing yoga with her bunny, hiking, trying novel foods, and spending time with her cat.
